Like most rain tires, this model features a V-shaped symmetrical directional tread pattern. Thanks to this solution, it was possible to achieve several important goals at once. In particular, the Uniroyal Rain Expert tire has a very large contact area, which has a positive effect on the reliability and stability of traction on dry surfaces. At the same time, the efficiency of acceleration and braking is ensured by a large number of sharp edges formed by the multitude of blocks located both in the central part of the tread and in the shoulder zones. Also, in the center of the tread pattern, the North American tire manufacturers have placed a longitudinal rib without any breaks throughout the tread. A distinctive feature of this tread element is the wavy edges, which contributes to an increase in the speed of water removal from the contact patch.
