The Triangle TR967 summer tire offers a chance to get acquainted with the advanced achievements of the global tire industry for a relatively small amount of money. This leading Chinese manufacturer has been successfully cooperating with world leaders in this field for decades. This model is one of the results of this cooperation. The tire is designed for powerful and high-speed passenger cars with a wheel mounting diameter of 16 to 19 inches. Currently, the range of this model is represented by only five sizes. One of the distinctive features of this tire is the aggressive V-shaped tread pattern, which consists of five longitudinal ribs. The central rib is a solid element with a high degree of stiffness. In addition, the central part of the tread features two rows of separate blocks, each with massive dimensions and a complex configuration with fairly long edges of contact. This technical solution allowed us to maximize the contact patch area, which remains stable in size, regardless of the driving mode, thanks to the V-shaped tread design.
It's also worth noting the presence of a high-performance drainage system, which provides excellent resistance to aquaplaning. Such high efficiency was achieved largely due to the large capacity of the four longitudinal grooves, which can hold a significant amount of water. The excess moisture is then quickly discharged through the transverse grooves to the outside of the tread. These grooves have a curved shape, which contributes to an increase in the speed of water circulation.
