Toyo SD-7 – summer tire from a well-known Japanese manufacturer, which can be installed on a wide range of passenger cars, including SUV class. It is characterized by reliable coupling properties, stability on wet asphalt, as well as a low noise level.
The basis of the tread is formed by two wide ribs, each of which bears diagonal notches. On the one hand, they provide stability of the car to lateral displacements, guaranteeing course stability. And on the other hand, they optimize the braking distance, making it shorter. To increase stability during maneuvering, wide shoulder areas are provided, represented by differently directed block structures. In combination with reinforced sidewalls, they form a strong foundation that effectively resists deformation.
A special compound was used for the tire, which is distinguished by its elasticity and ability to suppress the main mass of vibrations. Thanks to this, an increased acoustic comfort is created in the car's cabin. To this should be added the presence in the rubber mixture of a package of polymeric additives that reduce wear, maintaining the working characteristics of the tire for a long period.
An important aspect of the model is its resistance to aquaplaning, which is implemented due to the presence of a developed system of channels, as well as sharp edges that cut through the water film. This achieves an increased level of safety, including in conditions of heavy rain.
