Toyo Proxes CF2 tires are positioned as an upgraded version of the previously released CF from the renowned Japanese manufacturer, Toyo. The new line, according to the manufacturers, represents a summer variant of tires for high-speed vehicles, although the speed index for this tire model is 210 km/h.
Rubber Compound
The innovative technologies used in the creation process, such as the preparation of rubber compounds and the modeling of the tread pattern and tire structure, have allowed this model to quickly attract the attention of car owners with its excellent operational qualities. First and foremost, the creators increased the percentage of silicon content in the mixture, which led to a reduction in rolling resistance. As a result, there is a tendency to reduce fuel consumption. Also, innovative active additives were included in the rubber compound, which improved the wear resistance and increased the degree of adhesion between the tire surface and the road.
Design and Construction Features
The updated version of the tires has a number of differences from its predecessors. If we consider only the most significant ones, then first of all, it is worth stopping at the improved system for removing water and heated air from the contact patch area. This system works especially well on wet roads, where the degree of adhesion of the Toyo Proxes CF2 tires with the road surface has increased by 15% compared to the previous generation tires. Another feature of the tire design is the ability to evenly distribute the load across the entire contact patch area, which contributes to good handling, timely acceleration and braking response, as well as extended service life.
Tread Construction
The design and construction of the tread of this tire model contribute to noise absorption, guaranteeing a comfortable ride at high speeds with excellent stability and handling. The wide longitudinal grooves minimize the risk of hydroplaning. The improved longitudinal stiffness of the tread has made it possible to guarantee a reduction in rolling resistance.
Main Features of Toyo Proxes CF2 Tires
- Tread pattern modeling has made it possible to achieve even load distribution and increase the tire life;
- Silicon and polymer components in the rubber compound have improved traction, reduced wear, and shortened the response time to handling;
- A well-thought-out water drainage system has improved traction by up to 15% and reduced the risk of hydroplaning by an order of magnitude.
