The Toyo Open Country A/T II all-season tire, like its predecessor, has been enjoying well-deserved popularity for many years, is designed for SUVs, crossovers, and pickups. This model belongs to the All Terrain category, meaning that the tire is perfectly suited for operation in various conditions, including rocky terrain and high-speed highways. The tire is offered in several dozen sizes, ranging from 15 to 22 inches.

The proprietary design of the Toyo Open Country A/T II tire tread has undergone significant changes. However, like the previous model, this tire is also equipped with a tread with an S-shaped symmetric non-directional pattern. The tread consists of five longitudinally arranged ribs, divided into separate blocks by numerous drainage channels. In simpler terms, the entire tread consists of separate blocks, the shape of which is rich in numerous edges and sharp corners. Such a structure of the tread pattern is a guarantee that the contact patch has a large number of multidirectional edges of adhesion at any given time. This allows for excellent traction on snow, mud, and dirt roads.

Additional traction on loose unstable surfaces is provided by the design of the shoulder areas of the tread. The blocks of this part of the tread are made in an aggressive design, which is characterized by massive sizes and great height. In addition, the blocks of the shoulder areas are made in a rectangular shape and are arranged transversely to the direction of movement, which made it possible to significantly improve the efficiency of braking and acceleration on slippery surfaces.

It is also worth noting the high structural rigidity of the shoulder areas of the tread, which made it possible to provide a more even wear of the tread due to the optimal distribution of pressure on the contact patch. This, as well as other design solutions, significantly increased the service life of the tire, which, according to the manufacturer's assurances, for some sizes can reach 105,000 km.
