The winter tire of the friction type Toyo Observe Garit GIZ, recently introduced by the manufacturer, has a number of characteristics that distinguish it from the rest.

Improved water absorption

Since at small negative temperatures of the environment, a certain amount of moisture forms on the surface of the ice crust, the behavior of the car in such conditions becomes quite unpredictable. To counter such situations, special adsorbing substances were introduced into the compound of the new tire, which allowed for a 10% improvement in water absorption by the tread. In combination with three-dimensional lamellae, this made it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of vehicle control on icy roads, as well as reduce the braking distance.

Traction properties

A certain percentage of crushed walnut shell was also introduced into the rubber compound. Thanks to this, multiple micro-chips are created, allowing the tire to confidently overcome icy sections without the risk of skidding.

New tread pattern

The use of modern modeling methods allowed developers to create a tread pattern that, in addition to increased traction, provides good self-cleaning from snow and dirt. It's worth adding effective removal of excess moisture that can be observed in European winter conditions. Thus, the tire demonstrates not only stable behavior on asphalt pavement, but also on dirt roads.
