Winter tire Toyo Observe G-02 Plus is designed with consideration of specific climate conditions of regions located near the Arctic Circle. The model stands out for its stable traction properties in extremely low temperatures, comfort when driving on icy and snowy roads, as well as reduced fuel consumption, low noise levels, and increased mileage.
The directional tread pattern consists of a large number of blocks. In the central part, the elements, partially overlapping each other, form an essentially continuous arrow-shaped rib. It improves steering accuracy and directional stability at high speeds. The presence of numerous blocks in the pattern, saturated with bidirectional edges, ensures excellent traction properties on snowy roads, combined with sufficient voids between them. The effectiveness of the tread on icy surfaces is supported by several solutions. First and foremost, it is the increased density of tread cutting with lamellas. The cuts, in addition to the wavy shape of the edges, have a "three-dimensional" profile of the vertical walls, which fixes them in the open position when contacting the road surface, while limiting the mobility of the blocks. As a result, the traction properties on icy roads not only increase but also become stable, making it much easier to control the car, especially when accelerating and braking. Another factor that determines the high efficiency of the tread on ice is the use of a special rubber compound in its manufacture. In addition to natural rubber, it contains a large amount of silicon dioxide, a component known as "silica". This gives the tread elasticity, retaining a significant part of it even at extremely low temperatures, allowing the tread pattern elements to closely follow the road surface irregularities. The second important advantage of using this compound is the increased resistance to abrasive wear, the formation of cracks and tears in the tread structure, which significantly increases the mileage of the tire, especially when operated on poor roads.
