Тire for passenger cars Toyo Eclipse is designed for everyday use, mainly in urban conditions. It is characterized by improved traction properties on wet pavement, fuel efficiency, wear resistance, quiet and smooth ride.
The projector pattern is notable for the presence of S-shaped slits in the central part. Along with wide longitudinal grooves between the ribs, these elements contribute to a more intensive removal of water from under the tire, which reduces the risk of aquaplaning. The elongated and curved surfaces formed by these slits provide more intense acceleration and braking on wet pavement, while maintaining low rolling resistance and noise. Another feature of the tire is its profile. Its optimized shape, in combination with the tread pattern design featuring a relatively small number of elements and their dense arrangement, increases the contact patch with the road surface, ensuring an even distribution of load across all the tire's bearing components. As a result, the traction properties not only become stronger but also more stable, especially when performing maneuvers, including braking. The tire's tread is made from a rubber compound containing, in addition to natural rubber, a large amount of silicon dioxide, better known by its marketing name - "silica". This component gives the tire elasticity, maintaining it at an optimal level even at low temperatures, which achieves improved traction on wet pavement. Such a compound has increased resistance to abrasive wear, increasing the tire's mileage.
Key features of Toyo Eclipse:
- S-shaped slits prevent aquaplaning, improve braking efficiency on wet pavement;
- special tread profile, optimized tread pattern improve traction and handling on dry pavement, reducing wear and fuel consumption;
- rubber compound with a high amount of "silica" in its composition ensures reliable handling in rainy conditions, increases tire mileage, giving it high wear resistance
