The Taitong trademark belongs to the Chinese company Shandong Huasheng Rubber Co., founded in 1994. It represents a large enterprise with an area of over 550 thousand square meters, located in the province of Shandong. The company specializes in the development and manufacture of a wide range of automotive and special tires. Modern equipment from Japan, Germany, the USA, and Italy is used in production. The high quality of the products is confirmed by internationally recognized certificates, as well as significant sales in European countries, the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania. The Taitong brand specializes in commercial and special tires for trucks and large-capacity buses.
The range of commercial tires of the brand consists of more than two dozen models for medium and large-capacity trucks, distributed across the following categories:
- for long-haul transportation;
- for city/regional transportation;
- for mixed conditions;
For long-haul transportation, the manufacturer offers a wide range of models that cover almost all scenarios of using commercial vehicles. A significant part of the tires are universal tires suitable for use on any axle. This significantly reduces costs, simplifies the process of use, and increases reliability. Another feature of the line is the presence of tires with increased load-carrying capacity, which allows them to be used for sufficiently specific tasks. The entire line has several operational properties. First of all, it is fuel economy, wear resistance, resistance to damage, reliability of traction, and comfort when driving at high speed.
The Taitong tire line for city and regional transportation consists mainly of universal tires suitable for use on any axle. The key feature of these models is the use of a rubber compound with increased resistance to abrasive wear and overheating. The line uses several tread patterns that adapt the tires for operation in various specific conditions, for example, on one of the axles of a truck.
For mixed conditions, the manufacturer offers a line of tires designed primarily for dump trucks, concrete mixers, and other special equipment that operates not only on asphalt roads but also on dirt surfaces. As a rule, these are "all-position" tires suitable for installation on any of the axles. The design in many ways is borrowed from special OTR tires. In particular, a fully metallic carcass with an increased cross-section of steel cords in the cord is used. Part of it is integrated into the structure of the sidewalls. This significantly increases the reliability of the tire when operating off-road. Another important difference is the open tread pattern, which is a combination of blocks. They provide high traction on dirt. It is also worth noting the use of special compounds that differ in increased mechanical strength and the ability to intensely dissipate heat from the internal components of the tire.
