The summer passenger tire Syron Race 1 Plus is designed for powerful passenger cars capable of accelerating to very high speeds. This is hinted at unequivocally by the aggressive asymmetrical directional tread pattern and the assigned speed indices - V and W. Additionally, it should be noted that this tire is offered in two versions - for the front and rear axles, which is also a sign that we have a UHP category tire.
Aggressive tread pattern design
The asymmetrical tread pattern of the Syron Race 1 Plus tire is characterized by the almost complete absence of individual blocks, most of which are located in the shoulder areas. Moreover, one cannot fail to notice the very large contact patch sizes, which are provided by a profile with an exceptionally small radius. This allowed for additional improvement of the tire's resistance to dynamic deformations.
The central part of the tread contains three very wide longitudinal ribs, which are characterized by very high structural rigidity. Thanks to this design solution, the developers of the tread pattern were able to provide the tire with excellent directional stability, and most importantly, refined reactions.
Exceptional resistance to aquaplaning
Excellent grip on wet roads is one of the most characteristic features of this model. This was achieved thanks to a number of technical solutions. In particular, silica - a silicon-containing component - was included in the rubber compound, which gave the tread increased elasticity, due to which it became much better at enveloping irregularities on the road surface.
Another crucial component that predetermined the excellent grip on wet roads was a very efficient drainage system, consisting of four water-dispelling grooves in the center of the tread and numerous transverse channels in its shoulder areas.
Main features of the Syron Race 1 Plus tire
- The aggressive design of the asymmetrical tread pattern provides excellent grip in any weather conditions, regardless of the characteristics of the road surface;
- Exceptional resistance to aquaplaning, thanks to the high performance of the water-dispelling system, consisting of four deep and wide longitudinal grooves and a system of transverse channels of a curved shape;
- A sturdy and very rigid carcass, combined with a small-radius profile, provides high resistance to dynamic deformation, which increases stability when cornering, and also reduces the risk of uneven wear.
