Description Simex Jungle Trekker
The Simex Jungle Trekker passenger tire has a rather specific application area. Firstly, it is designed for SUVs that are frequently driven off-road, and secondly, its design is adapted for movement mainly on dirt roads, which is reflected in its name. However, the tread pattern at its disposal is versatile enough to provide good traction on rocky surfaces.
Tread for soft terrain
One of the key features of the Simex Jungle Trekker model is the tread pattern, which has an original arrangement of its elements. The central part features a massive longitudinal rib consisting of many triangular blocks. This design provides the tire with a number of important advantages. First and foremost, it is reduced rolling resistance and high directional stability. At the same time, the large number of edges formed by the blocks provides additional traction.
In turn, the shoulder areas feature very powerful tread lugs, each of which forms a group of four high blocks. This solution is dictated by the desire to provide not only maximum traction properties in the longitudinal direction but also uniform distribution of external pressure across the contact patch.
It is also worth noting the large distance between the tread lugs. Thanks to this, the tread itself very effectively self-cleans not only of mud that gets stuck in it but also of fairly large stones. This significantly improves passability on dirt and rocky terrain.
Main features of the Simex Jungle Trekker tire
- a massive central rib formed from many triangular blocks provides excellent directional stability and low rolling resistance;
- shoulder areas containing a large number of composite tread lugs allow the tire to confidently move on dirt and rocky terrain;
- high resistance to punctures and cuts due to the large depth of the tread pattern and sidewall protection;
- excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread are ensured by the significant distance between the tread lugs in the shoulder areas.
