Saxon SnowBlazer

The Saxon SnowBlazer winter studded tire, from the young American brand Saxon, is designed for SUVs and crossovers. The characteristic tread pattern design, combined with the material composition, provides the vehicle with passability in various weather and road conditions. The tire allows for easy overcoming of dirt roads, snow, sand, stones, not to mention the usual asphalt coating. However, it is not recommended to use it for driving on clay and rut.

Handling on different road surfaces

Excellent traction properties and effective braking are provided by the geometry of the tread profile. Between the central part of the tread and the shoulder zone, two deep channels stretch longitudinally, with adjacent elements having an uneven relief due to the shoulder zone. They take on the main load of ensuring high-quality water removal from the contact patch, reducing the risks of slushplaning and aquaplaning, and giving the central zone the opportunity to perform its main functions - ensuring maximum traction in various conditions. Three rows of powerful polygonal blocks, together with transverse lamellas, increase the vehicle's handling, increasing the tenacious contact between the vehicle and the road surface.

Large blocks in the shoulder zone, cut with zigzag lamellas, increase driving safety when encountering problem road sections typical of our conditions. They also increase the tire's wear resistance. To provide even greater traction, the tire has several dozen spike mounting points, massively located in the shoulder area and less frequently in the central part.

Durability

In addition to the above characteristics, the rubber compound has a very strong influence on the tire's service life. A winter tire must be able to withstand low temperatures, which means it must be moderately hard and moderately elastic. The first parameter provides resistance to physical impacts, and the second is responsible for an adequate response to frost. Both parameters are in perfect order in the presented model, thanks to modern technologies.
