The Sailun Ice Blazer Endure WSL1 winter commercial tire is part of a recently introduced line of models by the Chinese manufacturer specifically designed for the European market. It boasts improved performance characteristics compared to other tire products from China, as well as excellent adaptation for use in specific "mild winter" conditions.
High Load-Carrying Capacity
It's not hard to guess the "specialization" of the tire if you take a closer look at its tread pattern. All of its elements have massive sizes, and are also connected by rigid bridges, forming continuous longitudinal ribs. This design allows for optimal, i.e., maximally uniform, distribution of the vehicle's weight across the entire area of the tread in contact with the road, without compromising traction on slippery winter surfaces. This reduces the unit pressure on the road and the aggressiveness of its impact on the tread. Such a design, on the one hand, leads to increased load-carrying capacity and resistance to premature wear, and on the other hand, has a positive effect on handling accuracy and ride comfort. Additionally, the presence of a rigid connection between the blocks made it possible to significantly reduce rolling resistance and, as a consequence, fuel consumption.

The tread blocks are arranged with a significant offset relative to each other. This made it possible to improve several important qualities of the tire. One of them is the improved stability of traction during longitudinal accelerations, i.e., when accelerating and braking. In addition, such an arrangement of the blocks prevents the occurrence of resonant noises, most of which are low-frequency and therefore well-transmitted into the vehicle's cabin. This noticeably improved acoustic comfort.
Reliability in Complex Situations
The absence of studs does not prevent the tire from demonstrating reliability in complex situations. Its tread is equipped with a productive drainage system, which effectively removes water and its mixture with snow from the contact patch. It is worth noting the wavy shape of the longitudinal grooves and the serrated shape of the lateral walls of these elements in the shoulder areas, which allow the tread to effectively prevent slushplaning.
On complex icy surfaces, the reliable behavior of the tire is ensured by several technical solutions. First of all, this is several thousand lamellas, forming a corresponding number of sharp edges. In addition, the tread has hundreds of "micro-pumps", small droplet-shaped cavities that additionally dry the road surface under the contact patch, which enhances traction on ice. It is worth noting the high elasticity of the tread, thanks to the optimized compound, which, due to this ability, more closely hugs even the smallest irregularities, better gripping the slippery road.
