The Rovelo brand belongs to the Chinese company Sailin, one of the largest tire manufacturers in China. Several enterprises and a network of logistics centers in all industrially developed regions allow the company to sell over 40 million passenger and 6.5 million commercial tires per year. The Rovelo brand was established to promote tire products in Canada, where they were sold through the Wal-Mart hypermarket network. In 2013, it appeared in the US, and several years later in Europe. Currently, tires of this brand are offered in the following segments:
- for passenger cars;
- for commercial vehicles.
In the passenger tire segment, the brand offers models in the following categories:
- for passenger cars and crossovers;
- for SUVs, pickups, and light trucks;
- winter tires;
- for trailers of small and medium capacity.
For passenger cars and crossovers, a range of tires with balanced driving properties is available. They are characterized by increased mileage, quiet and smooth ride, and stable traction on dry and wet surfaces. One notable exception in this range is the RPX-988, which has sporty handling, but even it stands out for its good comfort level for Ultra High Performance tires.
For SUVs and pickups, the brand offers several models in the High Terrain and All Terrain categories. In the first case, the manufacturer claims a uncompromising level of comfort, along with improved handling and stability of traction properties at high speeds. In turn, AT tires are distinguished by their versatility in application due to their ability to maintain efficiency not only on dirt roads but also in snow. They are characterized by an aggressive tread pattern with blocks and a large number of lamellas, as well as an elastic rubber compound at low temperatures.
The "winter" line is represented by two models designed for use in regions with the most severe winter climate, which reflects the "Canadian" origin of the brand. Both tires are characterized by tread patterns that are a combination of blocks with densely cut "three-dimensional" lamellas. In addition to these, the RWS-677 has the possibility of installing studs, for which special mounting holes are provided in the tread.
In the segment of tires for trailers, the brand offers a wide range of tires suitable for almost all types of trailers. They are characterized by increased strength, increased mileage, reduced rolling resistance, and stable traction during towing. Structurally, they are commercial tires with a classic layout for such products.
In the commercial tire segment, the brand offers several dozen models in the following categories:
- for highway and regional transportation;
- for mixed conditions;
- for winter conditions.
In the segment of tires for highway and regional transportation, several lines of tires are available, mainly designed for all axles. Universal models are effective in almost any road conditions, characterized by classic tread patterns with solid longitudinal ribs and a large number of lamellas, as well as special stone ejectors in the grooves. The internal layout is characterized by the presence of a full-metal carcass with significant carrying capacity and resistance to deformation.
For mixed conditions, the brand offers, perhaps, the largest number of models. Most of them are designed for use both on asphalt roads and on dirt roads. They are characterized by the use of universal tread patterns, composed of both blocks and solid longitudinal ribs. All variations are distinguished by a large number of high vertical walls with an increased area, as well as reinforced carcasses and rubber compounds with increased resistance to punctures and tears.
The "winter" line of Rovelo tires is represented by several models, mainly designed for regional transportation. They are distinguished by increased efficiency on snowy and wet surfaces, which is ensured by an optimized tread pattern with a large number of blocks, lamellas, and increased grooves between the elements. In addition, a special profile of the tread with sharpened edges is used, which increases the stability on snowy surfaces. Another feature is the rubber compound, the working temperature range of which is shifted to "zero" degrees Celsius. This compound retains its integrity when strongly cooled, preventing the formation of cracks and ruptures.
