Winter non-studded tire Routeway Polargrip RY66 is designed for passenger cars. Its tread features a directional V-shaped pattern: long diagonal grooves combined with numerous fine sipes across the block surfaces.
Directional tread pattern
The grooves diverge from the center towards the shoulder areas, forming a sequence of repeating V-shaped elements. They divide the tread into elongated blocks and create channels for evacuating water and slush to the edges of the contact patch. In the shoulder areas, the grooves continue in a transverse direction and extend to the lateral edges of the tread.
Dense sipe cutting
The central and shoulder blocks are covered with closely spaced, wavy sipes. This siping design creates a large number of biting edges that complement the long block edges. Diagonal grooves and fine sipes form an advanced edge system across the entire tread width.
