Rotalla S220 – a tire for winter use on a wide range of passenger cars. It is characterized by a developed drainage system, which maintains the efficiency of traction properties, both on wet and snowy road surfaces. It is distinguished by low rolling resistance and improved adaptation to low temperatures.
The compound is based on such an additive as silicon dioxide. This component allows the rubber mixture to quickly adapt to low temperatures, maintaining a high level of elasticity. Due to this, increased adhesion is achieved, which affects the improvement of braking and acceleration characteristics.
The non-directional tread is represented by three rib structures, forming the basis of the contact zone. Each of these elements has differently directed notches, as well as being densely covered with three-dimensional lamellas. Due to the formation of a large number of engaging edges, the tire guarantees stability of the vehicle's behavior, both in snowy conditions and on icy roads. The drainage system plays a significant role in maintaining a high level of traction properties, represented by four wide central channels, as well as smaller grooves. Through it, water, dirt, and slush are quickly removed, due to which the contact zone always remains clean.
Main features of Rotalla S220:
- variability of application on a wide range of passenger cars;
- compound with a high degree of adaptation to low temperatures due to the presence of a large percentage of siliceous compounds;
- asymmetric non-directional tread with a rich lamellar network provides maximum control over transport on winter roads;
- developed network of channels guarantees the speed of cleaning the contact area and preservation of traction efficiency
