Description Росава LTA-401
The commercial tire Rosava LTA-401 is designed for year-round operation on light trucks and vans. The Ukrainian manufacturer positions it as a model that combines an increased mileage to replacement, a high level of comfort, fuel economy, and high efficiency of the tread in any road conditions.
Multifunctional shoulder blocks
The tire's tread pattern has several important features. One of them is the design of the shoulder areas. Each of them is a row of separate blocks. These elements are distinguished by very large sizes, giving them high rigidity and low susceptibility to deformation effects. These properties provide the shoulder blocks with multifunctionality. In particular, they increase the size of the tread area in contact with the road surface. This improves traction and also reduces the specific pressure on the road surface, increasing the tire's load capacity and resistance to wear.
Additionally, the shoulder area blocks are distinguished by a sharp profile and the presence of a special groove. These elements improve longitudinal traction and coupling properties on slippery surfaces with low bearing capacity.
Improved traction on winter surfaces
The central part of the tread contains two longitudinal rows of blocks. These elements, like those in the shoulder areas, have massive sizes, but are directed along the tread. This feature reduces rolling resistance and fuel consumption, as well as improves stability and handling accuracy when driving at high speeds.
Another design feature of the central blocks is the presence of longitudinal grooves that divide each of them into two parts and special notches - lamellas. This solution allowed to supplement the contact patch with numerous and multidirectional traction edges, which increased the effectiveness of the tread on winter surfaces.
Fast water removal from the contact patch
The fairly open design allowed the Ukrainian tire makers to equip the tread with a branched network of drainage grooves. Their numerousness provides for fast water removal from the contact patch. Here, it is also worth noting the presence of lamellas on the tread. In addition to forming additional traction edges, they dry the contact patch, directing water into nearby drainage grooves. This further reduces the risk of aquaplaning.
Reinforced carcass
The design of this model is based on a carcass entirely made of steel cord. In addition to the obvious advantages, such as increased load capacity and resistance to impact effects, this solution gave the tire other merits. The key one is stable behavior and increased handling accuracy at high speeds. Moreover, the stiffness of this element significantly reduces rolling resistance, which, in addition to reducing fuel consumption, increases the service life of the tread.
Main features of the Rosava LTA-401 tire
- massive shoulder blocks increase load capacity and improve traction during maneuvering and braking;
- improved traction and coupling properties in difficult weather conditions due to additional tread edges on the side surfaces of the shoulder blocks;
- two rows of blocks in the center of the tread with longitudinal notches and lamellas provide efficiency on winter surfaces, while reducing rolling resistance and noise level;
- the drainage system with a branched network of longitudinal and transverse grooves reduces the risk of aquaplaning.
