Росава Бц-50

Summer tire Rosava BC-50 is designed for compact passenger cars, allowing the installation of tires with a size of 175/65R14. Despite the modest size by modern standards, this model has exceptional technical characteristics, as indicated by the high-speed index H assigned to it.

Original tread pattern design

For this tire, Ukrainian tire manufacturers preferred to use a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, consisting of four longitudinal ribs. Each of them represents separate rows, consisting of many blocks.

Since the central part and shoulder areas of the tread perform different tasks, they have a different structure, corresponding to their functional orientation. Each of the longitudinal ribs, located in the central part, consists of two rows of separate blocks of a peculiar polygonal shape. This technical solution made it possible to form an countless number of traction edges. At the same time, the effectiveness of their work was significantly improved by giving them an elliptical shape.

The shoulder areas of the tread are also represented by separate blocks. However, they have more massive sizes. This was done in order to give the tire stability against the action of lateral acceleration forces. As a result, it demonstrates stable and reliable behavior when passing turns or making sharp maneuvers.

Good cross-country ability

The tread pattern of this tire is quite well adapted for movement on dirt roads. It not only has a large number of tread blocks, but also has a sufficient distance between them. This allows the tread to be intensively cleaned of small soil particles, which, in combination with the multitude of block edges, allows the tire to confidently feel outside of roads with a solid surface.

High resistance to aquaplaning

The open design of the tread pattern of the Rosava BC-50 made it possible to equip it with a very efficient drainage system. Its main components are three longitudinal water drainage grooves. When moving on a wet road, they accumulate water, which is then removed from the contact patch through a branched system of transverse drainage channels. At the same time, Ukrainian tire manufacturers were able to significantly increase the intensity of water removal. They gave the transverse channels an elliptical shape, which prevents the occurrence of swirling water flows passing through the channels. As a result, excess moisture is removed from the contact patch even more intensively.

Long service life

The developers of this tire, with the help of a number of technical solutions, were able to significantly increase its service life. In particular, this was achieved thanks to the use of an S-shaped arrangement of tread elements. The fact is that one of the characteristic features of such a pattern is a very uniform distribution of external pressure over the contact patch. This made it possible to significantly reduce the likelihood of uneven tread wear.

In addition, certain changes were made to the composition of the rubber mixture. Thanks to special components, the tire tread has acquired the ability to effectively resist abrasive wear.
