The Roadstone Roadian H/P SUV summer tire is the result of the creativity of engineers from the South Korean company Nexen, which, along with Hankook, is one of the leaders in the country's tire industry. For those who are well aware of the meaning of the abbreviations used in the name of the tires, it will not be difficult to determine the functional purpose of this model. Based on its name, which contains H/P SUV, it is easy to name the main target audience. They are the owners of crossovers and SUVs that are operated mainly on asphalt roads. However, this does not mean that this tire will shy away from a dirt road. Some technical features, which will be discussed below, allow it to confidently overcome quite complex sections.
V-shaped symmetrical directional tread pattern
The English abbreviation in the name of this tire, HP, means High Performance, which can be translated into Russian as "high performance". One of the main elements that ensure efficiency, both on dry and wet surfaces, is a symmetrical directional tread pattern with an aggressive V-shaped design, more characteristic of tires designed for sports cars.
It consists of five longitudinal ribs that form three functional zones - the central part and two shoulder parts. One of the characteristic features of the central part of the Roadstone Roadian H/P SUV is a series of arrow-shaped blocks that are strictly centered on the tread. The main functional purpose of these tread elements is to provide precise and predictable handling, which is achieved due to their high structural rigidity.
Wide shoulder zones - excellent stability in turns
Another distinctive feature of this model is the shoulder zones, or rather their size and structure. They consist of massive blocks of almost rectangular shape, the long edges of which are arranged at a slight angle to the direction of movement. When passing turns, such a shoulder zone arrangement allows the tire to maintain stability even at very high speeds, and when braking, it significantly reduces the braking distance.
Main features of the Roadstone Roadian H/P SUV tire
- the tire is designed for SUVs and crossovers that are operated mainly on asphalt roads;
- the block structure of the tread pattern provides the tire with confident behavior on dirt roads;
- the arrow-shaped blocks in the central part give the handling a sporty character;
- wide shoulder zones, thanks to which the tire demonstrates excellent stability in turns and a short braking distance;
- low noise level due to the 5-step arrangement of tread elements.
