Roadking Argos S500 (Studless) — a winter tyre for passenger cars, supplied without installed metal studs. In this configuration, the traction properties are formed by the directional tread pattern, numerous lamellas, and a rubber compound designed for low temperatures. Their joint work helps to accelerate, brake, and maintain the set direction on snow and in snowy slush more confidently.

The symmetrical V-shaped tread pattern is cut by deep diagonal channels that diverge from the central zone to the shoulders. When the wheel rotates, they direct water, loose snow, and snowy slush outward. Thanks to this, the contact patch is quickly freed from precipitation, and the car maintains more predictable reactions to steering during wet snowfall and thaw.

The working surface is divided into numerous blocks with serrated edges. Each block is covered with a dense network of thin wavy lamellas, so in the contact patch, a multitude of additional traction edges is formed. They help the tread to grip on rolled snow and icy areas, maintaining traction during start-up, control during braking, and stability when adjusting the trajectory.

The wide shoulder blocks create support during turns, and the open transverse gaps between them continue the system of snow and water diversion. Such a layout helps the tyre to maintain predictable behaviour during manoeuvres and better clean the edges of the tread when driving on a snowy road.

The special winter rubber compound retains its elasticity with a significant drop in temperature. Thanks to this, the blocks continue to adapt to the surface, and the lamellas — to reveal their working edges in the frost. The 3PMSF marking confirms that the model meets the requirements for tyres for complex snow conditions.
