The Riken Snow winter tire for passenger cars was developed at Michelin. It is characterized by the reliability of coupling properties and comfort in handling on snowy and icy roads, effective braking on any surface, acoustic comfort, and a soft ride.
The tread pattern is made in an effective directional design with a V-shaped arrangement of grooves. The large width of the drainage elements and their direction against the movement allow the tire to maintain stability in the most difficult weather conditions. Another feature of the pattern is the presence of elongated transverse edges of significant area. This increases the traction and braking effort on snow. On wet and icy surfaces, the tire practically retains its ability to accelerate and brake intensively due to the numerous lamellas that form hundreds of additional sharp edges.
Key features of Riken Snow
- directional V-shaped tread pattern with numerous blocks is effective on any winter roads;
- bidirectional lamellas provide reliability in handling on slippery surfaces;
- special rubber compound, elastic at low temperatures and resistant to abrasive wear.
