The Riken Allstar winter tire is primarily designed for affordable compact passenger cars used both in the city and on out-of-town highways. This is mainly due to the size range, which includes sizes for wheels with a rim diameter of 13 inches and above. As for the operational characteristics, they are at a fairly high level, especially considering the attractive cost of this tire. This was made possible by the use of inexpensive but extremely effective technical solutions in its design.
Three rigid longitudinal ribs in the central part
The high level of safety of this model is largely due to its very decent stability at any speed. This ability appeared in the tire thanks to the original design of the central part of the tread. It contains three continuous longitudinal ribs with excellent resistance to deformation. This feature allows the tire not only to maintain stability when driving at high speeds but also to quickly and accurately respond to the driver's actions.
Open design of the shoulder areas
In contrast to the central part, the shoulder areas of the tire's tread are made in an open design, consisting of many massive blocks. To ensure maximum longitudinal traction and stability during maneuvering, they are arranged almost at a right angle to the direction of movement. It is also worth noting the presence of lamellas in each of the blocks. These tread elements not only create additional edges of adhesion but also improve adhesion properties on wet roads by directing water from under the contact patch into nearby drainage grooves.
Key features of Riken Allstar
- three rigid longitudinal ribs increase stability at high speeds, improve handling responsiveness;
- open design of the shoulder areas provides high performance during acceleration and braking;
- numerous transverse lamellas improve braking efficiency and also prevent the occurrence of aquaplaning.
