The Pirelli Winter Sottozero III Seal-Inside winter tire is designed for premium brand passenger vehicles. It is characterized by improved traction and handling precision on slippery surfaces, as well as increased reliability, which is the key difference of this version of the same-name tire.
The tire features the Seal Inside technology, which allows the vehicle to continue moving in the event of a puncture. The technical solution is implemented in the form of a sealed cavity located on the inside of the tire, filled with a special viscous material based on natural rubber. When the tread is damaged, it is sealed by the flow of escaping air into the hole and almost immediately vulcanized, restoring the tire's hermeticity.
The tread pattern features numerous lamellae. Forming thousands of sharp edges, the cuts increase the traction and braking force on any slippery surface. Wide drainage grooves in the central part prevent the formation of a water film in the contact patch and allow the tread to be instantly cleaned of snow masses that get stuck in it, thereby maintaining reliable traction in complex weather conditions.
