One of the main issues with winter tires is the reaction of the polymer compound to negative temperatures. The tread pattern is formed by a large number of asymmetrically arranged rectangular and polygonal blocks, as well as two pairs of longitudinal channels. Working in conjunction with the wide drainage channels of the side blocks, the tread provides good traction properties with the road surface and confidently resists slushplaning. The efficiency of the traction properties is ensured by the rapid removal of snow from the contact area. Similarly, the tire design works when combating aquaplaning.
