The Pirelli Winter Ice Zero SUV winter tire is designed for SUVs and crossovers that spend most of their time on paved roads. It stands out from most of its analogs from other brands with excellent manageability, ice grip, and confident behavior in the most difficult conditions.
130 "dual" studs
Unlike most competitors, this tire features an increased number of 130 studs. Their hard alloy insert has an original shape with two "sharp" vertices, which increases the effectiveness of the studs during longitudinal acceleration. The trapezoidal shape of their body fixes them in a vertical position when contacting the road surface. It's worth noting the use of expensive tungsten carbide as the material for their manufacture. This metal has extremely high mechanical strength and stiffness.
Universal compound
The tread part of the tire is made from a rubber compound with unique physical and chemical properties. In addition to extremely fine particles of silicon dioxide, it contains special polymers that enhance the intermolecular bonds between all components of the compound, resulting in high thermal stability of the tread. It retains all its properties over a very wide temperature range.
Increased lamella density
Compared to the previous model, the density of the lamella arrangement has been increased by 20%. This is due to the changed shape of the side walls of the grooves, which even better restrict the mobility of the blocks when contacting the road surface. The increased number of gripping edges formed by the lamellas provides excellent stability of grip on rolled snow and ice.

They fit perfectly on the sixth axle, taking the place of the run-flat. In the right size (255/50 R19) and at an acceptable price, the Pirelli were the only acceptable option. The tires pleasantly surprised with their comfort and even relative quietness (of course, I'm comparing them to the previous car and the previous winter tires, so this is a subjective impression). But the most important thing is the excellent handling and predictable behavior of the car. On the track,

They look great and ride well, and I like their performance on the road. The tires aren't too hard, they go soft and smoothly. The tread is fantastic, it grips well on ice. They're good on snow too, with high traction. Braking is excellent. I'm satisfied on all counts. Plus, they were about 50,000 rubles more than the others for all four. Great choice!

The tires have shown themselves to be very good. Predictable behavior on different surfaces, not a single slip into a skid. The studs are all in place after one season, the condition of the studs and the rubber is like new. Of the negative points - they are noisy.
