Description Pirelli Winter Ice Zero Asimmetrico Plus
The Pirelli Winter Ice Zero Asimmetrico Plus winter tire is designed for the most dynamic versions of passenger cars. It is characterized by stable coupling properties on icy and snowy surfaces, along with the "signature" features of handling with fast and precise reactions to the driver's actions.
The tread pattern, in addition to the asymmetric arrangement of elements, is distinguished by a relatively small volume of voids. This increases the contact patch with the road surface, improving traction and handling on any winter surface. It is worth noting the presence of a large number of "three-dimensional" lamellas with serrated edges. The incisions are located almost transversely, being inclined at different angles. This allows the tire to demonstrate high braking intensity on icy surfaces. Another important feature of the tread pattern is the presence of rectangular blocks in the central part. Due to their inclination, they partially overlap each other, ensuring uniform pressure distribution over the road surface, which has a positive effect on course stability and steering accuracy. The rubber compound used in the manufacture of the tread is distinguished by the presence of not only a large amount of silicon dioxide, known as "silica", but also special polymers. They give the tire increased elasticity at temperatures significantly below zero degrees Celsius. This factor improves the tire's performance on wet and icy surfaces, thanks to the fact that the numerous lamellas can penetrate the water film present on such surfaces much more easily.
Main features of Pirelli Winter Ice Zero Asimmetrico Plus:
- Tread pattern with a small amount of voids provides an increased contact patch with the road surface, improving traction and handling;
- A large number of 3D lamellas, forming hundreds of differently directed serrated edges, increases traction and braking properties on wet and icy surfaces;
- Square blocks in the central part of the tread increase course stability and steering accuracy at high speed;
- Rubber compound with special polymers has an increased range of "working" temperatures with optimal elasticity for maximum traction.
