Pirelli Scorpion Winter Seal-Inside

The Pirelli Scorpion Winter Seal-Inside winter tire is a modification of the same-name tire for crossovers and SUVs. The only difference from the "original" is the ability to continue moving after being punctured by a foreign object. At the same time, the applied technology in no way affects the driving qualities.

On the inner side of the tire, there is a layer of viscous substance based on natural rubber and polymers. When punctured by a foreign object, it is drawn into the hole and, hardening, restores the seal, allowing you to continue moving. The diameter of the damage that can be eliminated by this technology can reach 5-6 mm.

The tire is offered with two options for the tread pattern - with two or four longitudinal water-repellent grooves, depending on the width of the tire. The increased number of these elements increases the directional stability on snow, reduces the risk of aquaplaning and slash-planning. In the most difficult weather conditions, the tire demonstrates stability of traction properties. This is due to the optimization of the profile of the tread part of the tread. This solution increases the contact patch, allows you to evenly distribute the pressure on it even when maneuvering.
