The Pirelli Scorpion Verde passenger tire, from the renowned Italian manufacturer, is designed for high-performance vehicles, including crossovers and other SUV category vehicles.
This tire features the most advanced innovative solutions from Pirelli. According to the manufacturer, this tire, made from environmentally friendly materials, has a minimal impact on the environment while providing a high level of comfort and safety. The tire's environmental harmlessness is evident in its belonging to the "Green Performance" category.
The tire's design features an asymmetric, non-directional tread pattern consisting of three ribs and two shoulder zones. The entire tread is divided into separate functional zones by four longitudinal water drainage grooves, two of which, located in the center, are noticeably wider than the other pair of grooves, which are located on the edges of the central tread zone. Despite the fact that the Pirelli Scorpion Verde tire is designed for high-performance vehicles, its tread assumes operation on highways. Of the three ribs located in the center of the tread, two are equipped with a multitude of S-shaped lamellas designed to improve acceleration and braking efficiency. Another rib, in addition to lamellas, is divided into separate blocks by transverse channels, which further improve water evacuation from the tire's contact patch.
The shoulder zones of the tread have a curved profile, which contributes to increased resistance to uneven wear and also increases grip on the road when cornering.
