The all-season Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season NCS tire is a special version of the same-name model for crossovers and SUVs. The difference lies in the modified structure of the internal part of the tread, which improves acoustic comfort. In addition, this model is characterized by excellent stability on slippery surfaces for its class while in motion.
The improvement of the acoustic comfort of this tire is achieved due to the application of an additional layer of porous plastic on the inner side. The numerous voids in its structure prevent the spread of noise and vibrations, which are effectively absorbed, not being transmitted through the body and suspension elements to the car's cabin.
The tread part of the tire has a profile that increases the contact patch and distributes pressure more evenly across it. This enhances the traction properties and gives them high stability, especially when maneuvering. Four longitudinal grooves of increased volume minimize the risk of aquaplaning. On winter surfaces, efficiency is achieved due to several thousand narrow slits – lamellas that form sharp and high edges in the contact patch.
