The Pirelli PZero Winter NCS winter tire, like other representatives of the flagship line, is installed on the most powerful versions of passenger cars. It is characterized by "summer" sensations from driving, differing in precise handling and high stability on any slippery surface.
The NCS abbreviation in the model name means the presence of a special layer of highly porous material on the inside. The synthetic "sponge" is designed to absorb noise and vibrations, the sound waves of which are scattered in numerous voids. As a result, the low-frequency hum is almost completely absent in the car's cabin.
The tread part of the tire has an asymmetric design with a "modular" arrangement of blocks and elements. A significant part of them is represented by "three-dimensional" lamellas with self-locking devices. They increase the efficiency of the tread on icy surfaces, forming thousands of additional edges that the tire grips onto the slippery surface. Blocks separated by wide grooves allow maintaining stability and intensity of longitudinal acceleration on snow.
