Description Pirelli PZero Seal-Inside
The summer tire Pirelli PZero Seal Inside is a special version of the same-name model in the UHP category. The difference is the high reliability provided by the ability to independently eliminate minor through damages to the tread part of the tire, leading to a loss of pressure inside the tire. The applied technology does not change the handling qualities, which remain identical to the tire in the standard version.
Increased reliability
The key feature of this model is the use of Seal Inside technology. It involves applying a layer of special mastic based on polymers to the inner side of the tire. The high-viscosity substance, in case of a through damage caused by running over a sharp foreign object, seals the hole. As it hardens, it is pushed outwards, which not only restores the tightness but also allows the tire to be operated further without resorting to service assistance.
Acoustic comfort
In addition to the mastic for eliminating damage, the inner side of this tire contains a layer of sound-absorbing material. A special polyurethane with a high-porous structure is used for this purpose, which prevents the spread of noises and vibrations generated by the carcass and breaker elements.
Optimized compound
The tread part is made of a rubber mixture specially developed for this tire. Its composition is distinguished by a high content of silicon-based substances. They give the tread elasticity and allow the tire to maximally tightly adhere to the road surface, providing the best grip with it, especially in rainy conditions.
Balanced handling qualities
The tire is beneficially distinguished by the absence of "weak points" in handling qualities. This is due to the design of the tread pattern, divided into several functional areas due to the asymmetry of the elements. The outer side with enlarged shoulder blocks provides stability during maneuvering and braking. Interacting with them, two longitudinal ribs in the central part give the steering responses the speed and accuracy of racing tires. The inner side of the tread, containing many small blocks, increases the traction force.
Main features:
- increased reliability due to the ability to independently eliminate punctures;
- high level of acoustic comfort provided by a special sound-insulating layer on the inner side of the tire;
- balanced handling qualities due to the asymmetric tread and optimized rubber compound.
