The Pirelli Pzero NCS summer tire is designed for dynamic versions of premium passenger cars. In addition to the "signature" excellent handling characteristics of the Pzero line, this model is characterized by a reduced level of noise and vibration, which is achieved by applying original technical solutions.
One of them is the use of a layer of polyurethane foam on the inside of the tire. The material with a porous structure effectively absorbs noise and vibration, which has a positive effect on the acoustic comfort inside the car. At the same time, the low weight of such foam allowed the tire's handling qualities to be preserved at the same very high level.
The tread pattern, compared to the original Pzero version, has remained unchanged. The asymmetric directional design features large elements, which increases the contact patch, improving traction and handling on dry pavement. The rigid ribs in the central part allow for easy entry and exit from turns. When significant lateral accelerations occur, the tire is able to maintain traction due to the large blocks in the outer shoulder area. The elements on the opposite side of the tread, on the other hand, have an elongated shape, which provides high acceleration and deceleration intensity on wet pavement.
