The Pirelli PZero GEN-2 Luxury Saloon Seal-Inside summer tire is designed for powerful sedans of premium brands. It represents a special modification of the same model with a built-in puncture elimination system, which provides it with increased reliability, considering the condition of the domestic road network.
The tire uses the Seal-Inside technology, which is a set of solutions for eliminating through damage to the tread up to 6 mm in diameter. The tire structure has a sealed cavity filled with a special viscous liquid based on natural rubber. When punctured, it is pulled into the hole by the outgoing air flow and almost instantly vulcanized. The process takes place so quickly that the air pressure inside the tire remains virtually unchanged. At the same time, all its driving qualities remain the same.
The tread part of the tire is made of various compounds with different properties. The outer part is made of a rubber mixture with increased stiffness. This reduces rolling resistance, increases stability at high speeds, and makes it easier to control the trajectory of the vehicle's movement. The inner side of the tread is made of a more elastic compound, which increases the tire's grip on a cooled wet surface. The tread pattern is also "divided" in a similar way. On its outer side, rigid massive elements prevail, providing stability and precise handling at high speeds. In turn, the inner side of the tread, saturated with gripping edges, allows for intense acceleration and deceleration on a wet surface.
