The Pirelli PZero Corsa Asimmetrico summer tire is specifically designed for super sports category vehicles and is intended for use primarily on racing tracks. The model features highly specialized operating properties, including uncompromising traction and handling at any speed.
The tread pattern is distinguished by an asymmetric arrangement of elements and their distribution, which achieves a maximally uniform distribution of stiffness over the entire contact area with the road surface. In combination with the profile of the tread from sports tires for road-ring racing, this provides ease of handling and stability of traction properties when driving in an extreme style. It is worth noting the increased size of the outer shoulder zone, which increases stability when cornering, while reducing uneven wear. Another feature of the pattern is the curved shape and direction of a significant part of the grooves against the direction of movement. They minimize the risk of aquaplaning and maintain a high level of traction, both during longitudinal acceleration and when cornering. However, the key difference of the model is the rubber compound used in the manufacture of its tread. The composition of this compound was largely borrowed from racing tires for the "ring". It is distinguished by exceptional thermal stability even under extreme loads, thanks to which the tire literally sticks to the road surface at any speed, avoiding delamination of the tread and its rapid abrasive wear.
