The Pirelli PZero Direzionale summer tire is one of the two "halves" of the PZero System, which involved the use of tires with different tread patterns on sports cars. This model, with its V-shaped tread, is designed for installation on the front axle, where it, due to its design, dries the groove for the rear wheels, which have an asymmetrical arrangement of tread elements.
Dual-type rigid edge
This feature is largely provided by the continuous construction of the central longitudinal rib. Thanks to this, this tread element has high resistance to deformative effects, which gives the tire excellent directional stability, providing fast and accurate reactions to the driver's actions.
Stability in turns
Most of the tread area is occupied by the shoulder zones of the tread. They are divided into massive blocks by numerous drainage grooves. In combination with their transverse arrangement and rigid construction, this allows the tire to maintain stability even when subjected to very strong lateral acceleration forces. In this regard, it is impossible not to note the multi-radius shape of the profile of the shoulder zones, which significantly enhances this characteristic feature of this model.
Main features of the Pirelli PZero Direzionale tire
- the tire is designed for installation on the front axle of sports cars;
- an aggressive tread pattern with a V-shaped design is distinguished by high resistance to aquaplaning and excellent performance on dry roads;
- the reinforced construction of the shoulder zones allows maintaining control over the car when passing turns at high speed;
- a dual continuous edge in the center increases stability and reliability of grip, improves directional stability.
