And this summer, the Milan Scientific and Technical Center presented several innovations, one of which was the Pirelli Carrier tire. Recall that it is in this research institution that developments of tires for the royal car races Formula 1 are being carried out.
Pirelli Carrier is a tire designed for light commercial vehicles operating in the summer period. Before its release on the market, the model was thoroughly tested in various countries of the world: Germany, Turkey, France, Great Britain, etc. Thanks to this approach, the manufacturer was able to achieve outstanding characteristics that significantly improved the operational properties of the model.

Having worked for a long time on creating models for Formula 1 cars, Pirelli specialists are well aware of the properties of durability and wear resistance. It is these knowledge, as well as the latest technologies, that were embodied in the new tire for commercial vehicles. All this should be added to the use of a new compound, which includes modern polymers. As a result, we get a tire that has a service life increased by 30%. And this, in turn, significantly reduces operating costs, which are very relevant when using commercial vehicles. In evidence of this, the company provided detailed tests, during which the tires covered more than 3 million kilometers. Moreover, completely different types of coverage were used. As a result, the novelty can be operated in various conditions while maintaining its technical characteristics.
Load resistance
Thanks to the special composition of the rubber, the Pirelli Carrier tire has properties that allow it to withstand significant loads that are common when using light commercial vehicles. At the same time, the model is distinguished by reduced rolling resistance, which is already direct evidence of fuel savings. Which is also very relevant when operating commercial vehicles.
Stability on wet surfaces
The specially developed tread pattern allows the tire to perfectly hold the road in any weather conditions. This is especially true for wet surfaces. The presence of 3 longitudinal channels, as well as a special system of lamellas, gives the tire improved properties of resistance to aquaplaning. In addition to this, the compound composition provides reliable grip with the road surface.

Today, Pirelli Carrier has a fairly wide range of sizes, starting from a diameter of 14 and ending with 17. It is clear from this that the company is purposefully going to conquer the market in the segment of tires for commercial vehicles. And so far, it's been successful. After all, having started selling this model only in the summer of 2014, it was able to achieve significant results, which is evidenced by the activity of car owners in relation to the purchase of this model.
