The non-studded version of the Onyx NY-W703 winter tire is ideal for everyday use, primarily in urban conditions. It differs from the standard model with greater acoustic comfort, demonstrating stable traction on snowy surfaces, effective braking, and ease of handling when maneuvering.
The tread pattern is designed in a "Scandinavian" style with a very wide, arrow-shaped rib in the center. This element, due to its massiveness and rigidity, provides excellent stability at high speeds, preventing rapid wear of the tread. The blocks located next to it are distributed in groups, forming long, intersecting edges. In combination with the large width of the grooves, this significantly increases the traction properties on snow. Among other features of the pattern, it is worth noting the use of a significant number of lamellas. Their serrated and multidirectional edges allow the tire to effectively grip even the most slippery surface. A special rubber compound that remains elastic at low temperatures significantly enhances this ability.
Main features of Onyx NY-W703 (Non-Studded)
- directional stability and handling precision due to the massive rigid rib in the center;
- optimized block and groove arrangement provides stable traction on snow;
- numerous lamellas and elastic rubber compound at low temperatures improve traction properties on snow and wet surfaces
