Description Омск Я-192
The Omsk Ya-192 tire, developed by Yaroslavl tire makers, is designed for domestic "UAZs", starting from the 450th model and ending with the "Patriot" released today. It is favorably distinguished by a wide range of applications. Despite its age, the diagonal tread pattern of this model demonstrates excellent performance, both on highways and off paved roads. Additionally, it is impossible not to note the excellent reliability, which is ensured by the use of modern technologies and materials in its production.
Triangular blocks in the center of the tread
The tread pattern of this tire is divided into three functional zones, each with a specific purpose. In particular, the center of the tread features two longitudinal ribs composed of massive triangular blocks. Most of the formed edges of adhesion are located in a checkerboard pattern at a large angle relative to the direction of movement. This design significantly reduces rolling resistance and noise level, while providing good directional stability at high speeds.
Trapezoidal blocks in the shoulder zones
In turn, the shoulder zones are characterized by a more open design, containing a multitude of trapezoidal blocks. They have a greater height, essentially being powerful off-road hooks that provide excellent cross-country ability on soils with low bearing capacity. Additionally, it is impossible not to note the large distance between the blocks, as well as the arrangement of their edges at a significant angle relative to the direction of movement. This promotes the extrusion of soil from the tread outward, giving the tire even greater confidence off-road.
Main features of the Omsk Ya-192 tire
- an aggressive tread pattern with powerful trapezoidal off-road hooks in the shoulder zones provides excellent cross-country ability on soils with reduced bearing capacity;
- triangular blocks in the center of the tread improve directional stability, reduce rolling resistance and noise level when driving on highways.
