This year's novelty on the market of studded tires for crossovers and SUVs, Nordman 5 SUV, is a complete analog of the Nokian Hakkapeliitta SUV5, which has proven itself well on the roads of the CIS. The model is produced at the Nokian plant in the city of Vsevolozhsk for the Russian market.

The 4-sided, rhombus-shaped stud reliably holds the vehicle from slipping in any direction. At the same time, it is firmly and securely fixed in the tire tread. Due to its specific shape, the stud, as it were, "bites" into the road surface with its sharp edges.

Good tire traction with a moderate noise level is also promoted by the correct arrangement of the studs on the tire surface. To reduce noise and increase mileage, each stud is equipped with a structural "pad".

The wide tread shape and reinforced metal breakers also contribute to good traction on ice. The adaptive capabilities of the tire are complemented by the model's side channels, which effectively remove slush from the contact patch.
