In addition to being designed for small commercial vehicles, the Nokian WR C3 winter tire has a specificity that gives it the fact that this model was developed taking into account the climatic conditions in Central Europe. This noticeably limits its applicability in our country. This model is best suited for use in regions located south of Moscow.
Improved grip on wet and icy roads
This tire has become another model where the Pump Sipe System technology has been applied. In essence, these are drop-shaped lamellas, the original shape of which allows them to remove most of the moisture from under the contact patch, thereby drying it and ensuring increased grip on wet and icy roads.
Optimized carcass design
One of the key innovations that distinguish this tire from the previous generation model is the carcass design. At its core is still a steel cord, but it is characterized by increased elasticity, which not only improves ride smoothness but also reduces rolling resistance.
In turn, the breaker located directly under the tread has been strengthened with an additional steel cord. This has led to an increase in its stiffness, which, in turn, has led to an increase in load capacity, strength, durability, as well as improved handling and stability of grip properties.
