Nokian Wetproof SUV

The Nokian Wetproof SUV summer tire for SUVs and crossovers is designed with the climate characteristics of Central European countries in mind. It is characterized by high braking efficiency on wet surfaces, resistance to aquaplaning, precise and comfortable handling, fuel efficiency, and an extended service life.

The tread features a "highway" pattern, distinguished by its massiveness and dense asymmetrical arrangement of elements. The shoulder areas are enlarged, which increases handling accuracy and acceleration and braking intensity. The blocks on the inner edge of the pattern are separated by Y-shaped grooves, the shape of which further enhances resistance to aquaplaning. The central part contains solid longitudinal ribs. Rigid elements provide directional stability and handling precision at high speeds, reducing rolling resistance. The grooves located between them have a polished surface, which, in combination with the increased volume, provides excellent resistance to hydroplaning.
