The summer tire Nokian PowerProof SUV is designed for crossovers and SUVs with improved dynamic properties. It is designed for use on highways, characterized by precise handling, maneuverability, and stable traction properties at high speeds.
The sidewalls of the tire contain aramid fibers, which are extremely lightweight yet incredibly strong and resistant to damage. They reinforce this vulnerable part of the tire, making it virtually immune to impacts and wear.
The tread pattern is developed using Dual Zone technology, which gives the tire balanced driving qualities. The technical solution is implemented in the form of dividing the tire's tread into two functional areas. One of them starts with a wide longitudinal rib in the middle and extends to the outer edge of the tread. The elements that form this area, which are massive and resistant to deformation, provide stable traction properties and precise handling at high speeds, including during maneuvers. In turn, the inner side of the tread, which contains numerous lamellas, block edges, and drainage grooves, increases traction and resistance to aquaplaning on wet surfaces.
