Nokian NRHi

The Nokian NRHi passenger tire is one of the first truly successful summer models from a manufacturer known primarily for its winter tires. This was achieved by "working on mistakes" made in the design of the previous generation tire, which proved to be extremely unbalanced. The use of new technologies and materials made it possible to significantly improve almost all basic operational properties, providing this model with competitiveness.

Resistance to aquaplaning

One of the strongest sides of this tire is its resistance to aquaplaning. It is guaranteed by the drainage system, the main components of which are two very wide longitudinal drainage grooves that communicate with each other and the external environment through a system of transverse channels. Their throughput has been significantly increased due to the location at a large angle against the direction of motion.

Wide transverse blocks in the shoulder areas

A distinctive feature of the shoulder areas of the tread is their open design. It contains a multitude of wide transverse blocks. Such a arrangement, combined with the high rigidity of these tread elements, significantly improves several important properties of the tire. First of all, this is the efficiency and reliable behavior when braking and stability when maneuvering.

"Eco-friendly" rubber compound

A significant part of the advantages of this model is ensured by the physico-chemical properties of the rubber compound. A large part of its composition is represented by silico-containing components, which give the tire improved traction on a wet road, as well as increased resistance of its tread to wear. At the same time, it is impossible not to note the use of compounds that do not contain polyaromatic oils in its composition. This made it possible to significantly reduce the negative impact on the environment during the production of the tire.
