The NRC 2 summer tire from Finnish company Nokian provides light trucks with safety and durability. This is achieved through the reinforced construction of breakers, tire width, special polymer composition, and tread pattern. Meanwhile, summer does not mean it's only oriented towards the warm period, these are three-season tires.
Reliable and durable construction of elements
Unlike more structurally weak tires, the breakers here are made using metal. This significantly increases the strength reserve of the product and contributes to increased carrying capacity. The metallization of elements located between the tread and the carcass also increases the comfort of the ride.
Increased grip with the road and protection against aquaplaning
Such important advantages are achieved due to the developed and tested tread pattern. The tire is surrounded by three wide and deep channels, which (except for the central one) are cut by perpendicular angular lamellas of different shapes and sizes. The mutual arrangement of the drainage system elements allows for effective combating of aquaplaning in warm and cool weather.
High performance and service life
The side block channels work to reduce the temperature of the tire, which increases due to the contact of the rubber with the road surface. Heat dissipation leads to a significant increase in service life. At the same time, the wide tread profile contributes to an even distribution of the load, which ultimately also has a positive effect on the operation of both the tire and the vehicle as a whole. The rubber compound, developed taking into account temperature regimes, and the reinforced steel construction, ready to take increased loads, also work on the overall result.
