Description Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3
The winter tire Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3 belongs to the premium class, is installed on light trucks, provides stability of coupling properties, both on snow and on icy surfaces. It is distinguished by its strength characteristics, as well as a long service life.
The model replaced its predecessor LT2, differing in the design of the tread, its depth, and a number of other features.
Compound specifications
The tire uses a new rubber compound called Arctic Grip, the distinctive feature of which is increased strength, expressed in resistance to tears and punctures. This factor increases the service life even under intense load in extreme conditions (low temperatures, sharp fluctuations, increased loads).
Steering stabilization
The tread pattern, made in an aggressive style, provides quick cleaning of the contact patch from snow masses. Its central part contains elements responsible for the quick response to the actions of the steering wheel. To improve coupling properties and traction, three-dimensional lamellae were used.
New lamellae and activators
In the shoulder area, there are special lamella activators that provide improved safety properties in conditions of rapid change in temperature characteristics and road surface. This is achieved by "activating" smaller lamellae with larger ones. Such interaction increases stability even on icy surfaces.
The main mass of lamellae is a arrow-shaped pattern, which is aimed at creating comfortable conditions when moving on icy and snowy road sections. Thanks to this, the model differs in effective self-cleaning and stability on winter roads.
Brake Boosters
The tire has a brake assist system called Brake Boosters. These are special elements that, having a increased number of edges, reduce the braking distance.
Protected sidewalls
The presence of reinforced arming in the side zones eliminates punctures and cuts, as well as allows withstanding increased loads when performing various maneuvers.
Main features of Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3
- designed for installation on light trucks during the winter period;
- differs in protection against cuts and punctures due to reinforced arming;
- provides improved braking characteristics due to the increased number of gripping edges;
- an arrow-shaped tread pattern with numerous lamellae provides quick cleaning of the contact area.
