Nokian Hakka Green tires — the novelty of the 2011 summer season.
The distinctive feature of this tire is its predisposition to the "northern summer", when the temperature outside in July is within the range of 10-25 degrees.
Hakka Green — an environmentally friendly novelty from the Finnish manufacturer with incredible traction, handling and reliability on any road surface: hot asphalt and wet road after intense rain. The maximally reduced rolling resistance makes the movement on this tire very soft and economical. Fuel consumption on this tire is significantly reduced compared to Hakka H, V and Z. The environment also receives a significantly lower level of CO2. In percentage terms, Hakka Green is 15% more economical than Hakka H, the previous winner of the fuel efficiency test. Fuel consumption is reduced by 3% compared to the same model, and compared to the average summer tire of other manufacturers — by 5-8 percent.
Thus, Nokian Hakka Green will save you about one canister of gasoline (41 liters) per year, and the emissions will be 106 kg per year.
When developing the new tire, the Finnish Nokian took the Nokian Hakka H model as the basis, which repeatedly proved its superiority in the 2010 tests. The incredible traction and handling indicators were refined on the tracks of Germany, Spain, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
The main goal in the production of this tire was to make the most economical tire with the Green tag. The rubber mixture of Hakka Green included components that are most suitable for northern conditions and guarantee safety and economy. So, pine oil, which reduces friction during movement in cold temperatures, got into the composition of the rubber mixture.
The creators of Hakka Green promised to increase the wear resistance of their tire.
Nokian Hakka Green has 4 longitudinal grooves that provide the fastest water drainage from the contact patch. Aquaplaning on this tire is reduced to a minimum: the drainage grooves do their job very efficiently. In tests conducted by Nokian, the novelty outperformed European competitors by 4% in this indicator.
The size range of the Nokian Hakka Green tire is quite extensive. First of all, this tire is designed for small and medium-sized cars. The speed indices range from T to V, which allows you to accelerate on this tire up to 240 km/h. This model will replace the previous Hakka H and Hakka i3 on the market.
Features of the Nokian Hakka Green tire
— an ideal combination of excellent handling and environmental friendliness of the tire;
— effective resistance to aquaplaning;
— excellent traction on wet asphalt in northern conditions;
— low level of external noise when driving on the Nokian tire;
— new technologies: new Venturi drainage grooves, "quiet" tread design;
Economy of the Hakka Green tire
— the optimized tire structure allowed to reduce rolling resistance;
— reduction of fuel consumption by 5-8%;
— "greenness" of the tire, achieved through the use of components such as pine oil;
Key innovations of Hakka Green
The design of the drainage grooves is made in the style of semicircular depressions on the tire sidewalls, reminiscent of the design of a golf ball. The new groove design in Nokian Hakka Green has increased the wear resistance of the tire and reduced fuel consumption.
The new rubber mixture composition has provided excellent traction on wet asphalt and low rolling resistance in the northern climate.
