Nokian H

The summer tire Nokian H was positioned by the Finnish manufacturer as an entry-level model, intended primarily for compact passenger cars, perfect for everyday use. It is characterized by improved traction properties on wet surfaces, the ability to maintain them at temperatures around "zero" degrees Celsius, along with quiet and smooth handling, fuel efficiency.

The tread pattern was distinguished by an asymmetric arrangement of elements and their distribution across functional areas. One of them was the shoulder area on the outside, composed of massive rectangular blocks with elongated transverse edges. They increased stability and directional stability when driving on a curve at high speed, preventing the occurrence and development of uneven wear. Three longitudinal ribs in the central part formed another functional area. Due to their arrangement and lack of interruptions, these elements ensured directional stability and steering accuracy during straight-line driving, while also reducing rolling resistance and slowing down the process of abrasive wear on the tread. The shoulder area on the inside was distinguished by the presence of a large number of drainage elements, which reduced the risk of aquaplaning. It is worth noting the use of one of the "signature" solutions of the Scandinavian brand in this model, namely the polished surface of the longitudinal grooves, which increased the intensity of water removal from under the tire. The grooves featured S-shaped protrusions that prevented the formation of vortices, both air and water flows, which, on the one hand, reduced noise, and on the other, further reduced the risk of hydroplaning.
