In the vast majority of cases, tire manufacturers retain the names of tires that have been highly appreciated by buyers. The all-season Nokian ENTYRE C/S tire is no exception in this regard. The novelty of Finnish tire manufacturers, like its predecessor, was developed taking into account the requests of owners of SUV and CUV class vehicles. The use of modern technologies and materials made it possible to significantly improve all the main operational properties, from traction on winter roads to ride smoothness.

Reinforced sidewalls

One of the characteristic features of the tire is its reliability on the worst roads. This is largely due to the reinforced construction of the sidewalls. Their structure contains a cord made of aramid fibers. Synthetic polymer material in this form has very high mechanical strength, while remaining elastic and lightweight. This made it possible to significantly reduce the risk of puncture or cutting, without worsening other operational properties.

Optimized rubber compound

The tread of the tire is made from a rubber compound, the development of which used solutions that have proven themselves well in tires for both passenger cars and crossovers and SUVs. From the former, polymers and finely dispersed silica particles were borrowed. These components provide elasticity at negative temperatures, heat resistance, and traction on cold and wet surfaces. The "off-road" models "shared" industrial soot, which increases the durability of the compound to tearing and stretching. This property significantly reduces the likelihood of puncture and cutting, and increases resistance to abrasive effects of uneven road surfaces.

Several types of lamellas

The tread pattern contains lamellas of several types, which makes their impact on handling and traction comprehensive. The slits located in the shoulder areas have a sinusoidal shape. In addition to increasing the effectiveness of the tread during braking, they also provide stability to the tire during this mode of movement, reducing the risk of wheel lockup. The straight and zigzag-shaped lamellas contained in the central part not only form a large number of sharp edges. They also dry the contact patch, directing water into the nearby drainage grooves.

Reinforcers between shoulder blocks

The drainage grooves in the shoulder areas contain special "bridges". Special cross-members rigidly connect the blocks located at the edges of the tread. This solution is designed to improve handling by increasing the speed and accuracy of responses to steering, and to increase the lifespan of the tread by reducing uneven wear.

Key features of Nokian ENTYRE

- Reinforced sidewalls with aramid cord reduce the risk of mechanical damage;
- Rubber compound with components of "passenger" and "off-road" tire compounds;
- Several types of lamellas have a comprehensive effect on handling and traction;
- Rigid "bridges" between shoulder blocks provide fast and accurate responses to steering.
