Nexen Winguard Spike 215/70 R16C 108/106T

The Nexen Winguard Spike tire is a 2011 novelty among winter studded tires. When developing this tire, special attention was paid to safety and comfort. A specially designed tread, thanks to computer modeling, has excellent operational characteristics.

The main difference from other tires is the use of a V-shaped tread pattern, which provides excellent traction with snowy and icy road surfaces. Specially selected blocks and increased distances between them made it possible to achieve increased self-cleaning, which improved passability and made handling more confident. The use of zigzag-shaped stiffening ribs increased directional stability when moving, both when turning and when driving in a straight line.

The new studding technology made driving on icy or snowy roads confident and safe, thanks to the arrangement of 12 rows of studs. The Nexen Winguard Spike tire compound contains special components that allow the rubber to retain its elasticity at negative temperatures, and also helped to reduce the noise effect when driving.
