Description Nexen SB802
The summer tire Nexen SB802 is installed on compact passenger cars. Developed for the North American market, where it is positioned as an all-season model. It is distinguished by improved traction properties on wet roads covered with thawed snow.
The tread pattern is made in a fairly open design for such tires with a large number of blocks. The high edges formed by them effectively help maintain stability on slippery surfaces, as well as the edges formed by numerous lamellas. The water-dispelling grooves located between the tread elements prevent aquaplaning. Thanks to the "multi-step" arrangement of the blocks and the optimized tread profile, the contact patch is increased, and the pressure is distributed evenly over it. This enhances the traction properties on dry pavement and gives them stability at high speed and maneuvering.
Main features:
- a tread pattern with a large number of blocks and lamellas is effective on a slippery surface;
- an increased number and diverse direction of hydro-dispelling grooves reduce the risk of aquaplaning;
- a multi-step arrangement of blocks and an optimized tread profile enhance traction and reduce wear.
